First always keep a good schedule and don't let anymore than a week's time go by to clean it. Ensure the chemicals are at the proper level with your tester. Ensure that your pump baskets and skimmer baskets are emptied and cleared ensuring proper circulation.
We advise letting your filter system run around 6 to 8 hours every day. When the water temperature goes above 80 degrees, run the system 8 to 12 hours a day.
As long as the pool has been maintained, we recommend that you don't drain it especially in the winter. Keeping water within the pool in the winter months can actuall protect the bottom
of the pool from having cracks during rigid temperatures. Although, it is always a good idea to use a pool cover during the off-season to protect from debris and fend off colder temperatures.
It really depends on the expiration date listed on the chemicals. Chemicals can last a long time if kept in the proper place. Dry chemicals have a 7 year
life before expiring and liquid pool chemicals last just as long. Also, always keep your pool chemicals in a warmer place during the winter.
